Here is my in-depth review for the Crossbeats Evolve 2020.I have spent a LOT of time reviewing and comparing earbuds before I chose to buy these ones. What sold me on these earbuds was the claimed 12hrs playtime. However, this is not the case.First off, let me preface this by saying I am happy with these earbuds so far, however, I was misled by the marketing. As seen in the pictures I have uploaded, the playing time of the earbuds are not 12hrs, they are 6hrs. The way the marketing is written, I thought the earbuds lasted 12hrs per charge and had one charge in the case, giving it a total playtime of 24hrs. This is NOT the case. Instead, the earbuds last 6hrs per charge and have ~3 charges in the case, giving it a total playtime of 24hrs.Now, this is by no means bad, I just feel lied to, and intentionally mislead, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth.Lets get into the review about the other aspects of these earbuds.Pros:-Great sound quality: 7/10The bass is really heavy on these earphones. Its a little too heavy for me, but it fits well with how us Indians generally like our sound. Very strong and punchy bass, well balanced mids, but slightly sharp highs. For some songs, I definitely felt sharp highs that were slightly unpleasant, but they were few and far in between. All of this was tested on 80% volume.-No latency: 10/10I could watch videos and play games, no problem. The latency is virtually non-existent.-Good connection: 8/10Good Bluetooth connection. Connects to my phone as soon as I take them out of the case. There are some losses when I turn the volume up/down and when I try to pause/play the music using the earbud’s buttons, however.-Great case: 9/10The case is great. It has a nice matt finish, with a smooth velvety feel to it. The top is held shut by a magnet and is easy to open. The case also includes magnets that keep the earbuds in place while storage and charging. The case is small and compact, and easily slides into my pocket.-Noise isolation: 8/10The noise isolation is only passive, which means the noise isolation comes from the fact that these are in-ear buds. They work well when the buds are firmly pushed into your ears, but personally, I found the seal on the buds naturally loosen. This is dependent on my ear-shape and will be different for everyone.Cons:-Charge time:These earbuds don’t have USB-C. They use a micro-USB. Considering they are Crossbeats’ supposedly best earbuds so far, this was a major disappointment to me. The charge time is 3hours to charge the earbuds from the case, and about 2.5hrs to charge the case itself. While this is good, in comparison, the Pebble 2020 takes 1hr to charge the case.-Ear Tips:The ear tips are made of a very thin (silicon?) material. They’re not good quality at all and do a poor job of keeping the earbuds in my ears.-IPX4 rating:This rating means its good for water splashes, but they might not survive if they accidentally fall into a puddle. This makes me slightly skeptical about using them while I work out, because I don’t know if they’ll survive sweat (sweat contains salts, which needs more protection than just water). I haven’t tested this out though, so take this bullet point with a grain of salt.-The fit:This is extremely subjective from person to person, so I kept this point for last. The earbuds didn’t really fit me at all. This might be due to the fact that the material used is very thin and flimsy. Not good quality at all. They fall off quite easily. I don’t think I would be able to work out with these on. I tried all the eartips they provided. This might just be because my ears are oddly shaped and will be different for everyone depending on the shape of your ear. I’m considering investing in some memory-foam ear tips to hopefully counter this. Conclusion:The Crossbeats Evolve 2020 are a good pair of earphones. They sound good, have a decent battery life but don’t fit me well. The marketing misled me and left a bad taste in my mouth about the company overall. I wouldve been much happier had I known the buds are going to last me only 6hrs and not 12hrs; 6hrs isn’t bad, I just dont like the feeling that I’ve been lied to. Also, the fact that it has a micro-USB is sort of a turn off for me. I constantly have to keep two wires handy now – one for my phone and the other for my earbuds.Overall, if i cant get new eartips to make them fit slightly better, I might return them and exchange them for the Crossbeats Pebble 2020 because I’ve heard great things about it. In comparison, you can get the Crossbeat Pebble 2020 for Rs. 3,600 from their website using code CROSSBEAT15. The Evolve will be available on the Crossbeats website from the 14th of Feb.PS: I would also like to add that the box states that the MRP is Rs. 15,000/- even though I bought them for Rs. 5500/-. If this is the case, these earbuds are competing with the Jabra 75t, Sennheiser Momentum and Bose Sound Sport earphones, and I just have to say that there is no comparison between them. Comparing these earbuds to those brands is like comparing a Honda City to a Ferrari.

Updtaing stars from 2 to 4 after using the second product which was delivered to me. Hiwever at times the issues still persists however i did not return the product since the sound quality is too amazing compared to other pods. While the company already tells the pros of the product, i would like to start with the cons first and then go to pros of this product.Cons:1. While reducing the volume during streaming an online video, there is a slight lag in the left ear bud 60% of the times and the sound gets normal (at a reduced level) after 3 4 seconds. Till then the left pod is silent.2. Whatsapp call works fine but every normal call, only the left pod works like 80% of the time. Only if i disconnect and reconnect both the pods again, it functions a bit better. However thete is still difference in balance.3. As the feature states that its auto connected if your phone’s bluetooth is on, it does, but 75% of the times only left pod gets auto connected and you need to manually go and connect the right pod.4. While the entire world is moving towards C type chargers, this model still charges with the old charger model. Probably called type B chargers (not sure).5. While connecting only right pod has changing lights and the other seems to be dead till the time it says that its connected.6. On calls, the mic has alot of problem in reception and the other person is not able to hear voice properly. You need to either shout or keep one ear bud in ur hand and near your mouth to speak. Does not serve the purpose of being wireless and handsfree.Pros:1. Sound is absolutely amazing and gives you chills to your bones with such a small gadget at this price. It give you value for money in terms of sound quality.2. The bass will give you goosebums and you can sense every beat in yiur ears.3. The case is very very smooth and gives you a good feeling while holding it.4. The pods are bulky but you can use different plugs to make sure it fits yiur ears properly.5. The sound quality is something which has made me stick to these pods even with few cons. I used Noise shots as well and other similar pods and none cone even close to this product’s sound.6. Noise cancellation is decent.I hope people find this helpful and can accordingly decide their purchase.
